Vacation Recap
Just a quick check-in, as I am back from my vacation.
Last Friday, picked up sister from the bus station. Saturday, sister, bf and I drove to Bar Harbor, Maine. Sunday, hiking and a quick stop at the beach, but no swimming (water too cold).
Monday, ferry to Nova Scotia, driving all around Nova Scotia, which is bigger than you think and full of nothing. Srsly, the edges have cute little towns and lighthouses and the interior is all pine trees, dirt roads and lakes. And there is lots of it. Nova Scotia = full of a lot of nothing. But, very pretty. Got to the cabin in time for dinner with mom, dad, brother, sis-in-law, aunt, uncle, cousin, cousin and cousin's wife.
Tuesday, nothing. Read my book on the dock, took a nap, etc. Wednesday, into a cute little town to wander around then out to dinner for uncle's birthday. Thursday, back on the ferry to Portland, Maine, and a quick visit to another uncle, there.
Friday home. Friday night off to Boston for dinner with the other side of the family, which was having a wedding. Swap out sister to parents (they had all flown back from NS) and get to drive brother and sil all weekend. Saturday, cousin's wedding and reception. Today, brunch and I took one of the bridesmaid's to the airport, as she was flying from NH.
All in all, had a great time, so good to see everyone, sister and I didn't have to kill each other, and glad to be home. More posts with entertaining family stories to come, once I get myself back to normal, such as it is. :)
