I switched over to Clear for innernet service two days ago- things. Went well yesterday and last night.... Not so much this morning. I woke to find I was without Internet service. 40 minutes later, I am reconnected.
Yay, one would think.
Think again. I wind up on home.clear.com, which proceeds to ask me questions so I can finish setting up the account. Dunno why this didn't turn up yesterday, but okay. I answer the questions, agree to terms, then close and reopen the browser so I can have my Internet.
Only to return to the home.clear page. I go o.O and hit the homepage button. It takes me to the home.clear page. As does the bookmarked link. Oh-kay.
This is happening on the iTouch as well.
Joyous. So I call the helpline- which gets me to 'server not found'. Fast forward 33 minutes and we have gotten pretty much nowhere, and I have to eat so I can go to work.
I thank the guy and hang up.... Then hook up my former provider so I can play my game apps and chaeck my email. The laptop won't connect but the iTouch does, so yay there.
Then I discover the laptop has frozen. I manage to unfreeze but then get a startup error, and Paul (the laptop) would like to run start repair.
What?
It's now ten minutes before I have to leave, so any repairs will have to wait until after work; and wouldn't'cha know it's one of my rare 8 hour days. :/
It's now after work, and startup repair #1 couldn't fix anything. Startup repair #2 decided to do a disk check and is currently repairing bad sectors. Fingers are crossed this can be fixed this way because I can't afford a technician.
Although I may just charge it to Clear because everything was working fine Friday.
Fortuntely, Michael (my iPod Touch) is unscathed and doubles as a computer for the short term.
Edit: repairs hopefully performed and restart initiated. ::crosses all digits:: Ow.
