*snarl*

2 days to allergy shot.
One problem? My symptoms keep coming back early, and I can't get them any more than twice a month.
Two problem? If that weren't bad enough on its own, trying to breathe through humid lowcountry air is like having a hot washcloth stuck to your face. Our spiffy new A/C dehumidifier can't keep up, so my room unit is back up and running 24/7.
Three problem? Even with backups and meds, my VCD is making a fighting comeback. Talking to Theresa just now, I couldn't last five minutes downstairs without starting to gasp like a landed fish.

So here I am, holed up in my dustproofed room, throwing an internet pity party. Because to talk to any human beings in person, they'd have to come in here to bellow over the fans and compressors, and I'm not fit to bellow back just yet.
(Editor's note: What is it with me and writing long-ass sentences full of commas?)

Also problem: Doctor's appt tomorrow.
With the ENT in charge of my vocal cords.
Pro: Great doctor, can almost definitely help.
Con: Means I can't well skip, no matter how bad I feel.
Pro: Air chilled and dehumidified within an inch of its life.
Con: 30+ min car ride through humidity and exhaust fumes.

Really want to treat myself to an online shopping spree, but I just did that last week.
Starting next year, I am so celebrating my birthday in July, because every summer I run out of new stuff to read/watch/play and end up begging for shopping money and rides to the bookstore. (Oh, to be healthy, gainfully employed, and a licensed driver . . . *sigh*)

ED BRUBAKER, WHY U RITE SO MUCH PULP COMICS?!*

weather, rl problems, health, f*cking humidity
