Staff Survey, and Other Ramblings

May 31, 2007 08:37

We've just all completed our staff surveys.  Has anyone ever completed one of these that isn't a complete load of bollocks?  This one wasn't bad, as these things go, but I'm not really sure what they were trying to get out of it.  It would have to go some way to beat the appraisal I had around ten years ago.  It was very badly translated from German, and the first question was 'Please describe the size of your goals,' so I put 'standard eight feet by eight yards - no messing around like FIFA.'  It didn't go down well.

Booked to see Pirates on Monday - lurking on others' journals, I now know to stay to the very end.  It really annoys P when you have to do that.  He was most unimpressed with the last snippet of X-Men 3, especially as he couldn't remember who the man in the bed was, or where we'd seen him before.

When I get time over the weekend, I will start to review some of the tourist stuff we've done since we've been here.  The Gold Coast is the tourisn capital of Australia, so there are loads of really tacky things to do.  We're slowly working our way through them.

Re-reading the entire Stephanie Plum series before the thirteenth book comes out later this month.  Pure fluff, but Janet Evanovich does make me laugh.  Upt to High Five today, so should be over half-way by Sunday.

P got the job he went for, so he is very happy.  More money, better company, but we will have to sort our own health insurance.  Can't have it all, I suppose.
