Reid doesn't really know what to do with kids, so naturally, he teaches them chess. (Can be Ethan, Natalie, their own kids... whoever, really.)

I love that he calls them that in his head! Nice touch.

"Dr. Oliver could move in here" [...] Luke made an odd choking sound that ended in a laugh. "That...would not work out."

Also, cookies! Better for bonding than chess. And sweet LuRe touching. Oh, and Yahtzee is the best.

My favorite aspect, though, is that Reid's not looking for a replacement family and is with Luke for Luke (as it should be). ♥

Ah poor Ethan. His big brother is going to move out soon. And with the new man.

He will learn to love Reid especially with the cookies instead of yelling at his mistake.
But Luke is better than cookies.

Maybe he can stay over at there place and get to realise how happy his brother now is and how cool the doctor can be.
