Proverbial ...Still feeling obligated to Noah for whatever reasons he didn’t know anymore Luke slammed on the brakes, took a time out and got on the proverbial train to Georgia. Why Georgia? He didn’t care, the main thing? Getting away and getting some rest ( ... )

Follows my FFF fic The House. Still angsty!

The Ride

“Stop fidgeting. We’ll be there soon.”

“We’d already be there if we’d taken a plane,” Luke said, biting his fingernails as he stared out the window.

Reid looked up from his iPad. “Hey, I didn’t force you to get on this train. I was fine without a traveling companion.”

“I know, but I . . .” Luke’s voice fell to a whisper.

“What was that?”

Luke sighed. “I didn’t-I don’t want to go alone. Okay?”

“Okay, then sit still and stop biting your nails. You know how distracting that is.” Reid resumed reading.

Luke sat back in the seat across from Reid, one eyebrow arched. “Distracting?”

Aww, there is still something there between them. Lucinda will see it too.

Nice job.

Definitely, there is still something there. They'll realize it soon enough. Lucinda will too!

Thanks!

Yeah a nice follow up. I'm glad that they remain to be social with each other. I hope they find out that they still care about each other. Let's hope Lucinda is ok.

Thanks for this.

Thanks. I think most of us are like Reid in this respect. We space ourselves out whether we are on a bus or on an elevator.

Noah and his squint and sneer make him very easily identifiable. I thought about making it Chris but I couldn't come up with a quick identifiable trait.

He could either sit with the scowling brunette stranger who stole his seat or the attractive blonde he saw every day.

Of course takes it personally, if someone would steal HIS seat! ;)

Brilliant!
