Indeed he was kind of lucky, but still this is soooo sad - the rationalization even deepens the direness. But it's a very good idea to eyplain where Angus's coldness comes from.

you are increcibly sweet to give me such encouraging feedback on my fic. I really do appreciate it. I've had a vague interest in writing about Angus before but the prompt just sort of hit me over the head with the idea of bringing Angus in. I've never rewatched the scenes after the 'incident' but I always wondered what the show was trying to portray with him.
