Helsinki needs a Naphouse as well

Life has been so hectic lately. There hasn't been much time for introspection, to just stop and be still for a while. So today I decided to spend a quiet night at home. I took a nap, watched telly and burnt a fire in the fireplace.

Normally Thursdays are a bit taxing for me. It's a long day (I'm usually away from home for 13 hours) and I get less than six hours of sleep the night before because I always have so much homework to do the previous night. Helsinki desperately needs a quiet place where you could take a nap in the middle of the day. Library desks are not very comfortable places for napping. :/

There's a Naphouse at Turku where you can go and take a nap. It doesn't even cost anything, all though they do sell drinks and snacks there as well. I saw the place from the outside when I was in Turku last April and it looked quite nice. I wish that there was something like that in Helsinki.

But since there is no naphouse in Helsinki, I'll have to think of some other way to ease up my Thursdays somehow. One solution that I can think of is that I could do most of the homework for Thursday already on Tuesday or before that. That way I could at least get to bed earlier and get a good night's sleep. If I wanted to study something of no practical use, it might be cool to learn one of Tolkien's elvish languages, Sindarin to be more precise. It's the one that's most commonly spoken among the elves in the third age, in which LoTR takes place. Quenya (High-elven) is the elvish language, which is influenced by Finnish. I already know about 10-20 words in Sindarin that I've indirectly learned by reading LoTR fanfiction. xp

If I learned more Sindarin, then I'd also like to learn to read and write with the Tengwar script. It only has like 30 characters in the alphabet. That shouldn't be too hard to learn considering that we're expected to learn about 500 new kanji in our Japanese class in this semester. In theory we'd then know about 1000 kanji after this semester. I'm saying in theory, because I at least probably won't be able to remember all of them. There's a strong tendency of forgetting them as you learn new kanjis, which is most annoying.Well, I ended up writing about things other than what I set out to write about, but that's fine.
