Yes, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" does fit Sirius well. I love that poem to pieces - so beautiful. Even though Sirius is supposed to be handsome, and the protagonist of "Prufrock" describes himself as old and balding, I can see how Sirius would be insecure about himself when it comes to Remus. Great selection. ;)

Have you ever heard of an old Scottish folksong called "Black is the Color"? There's lots of versions of the lyrics out there, but I like these best:

Black is the color of my true love's hair
His lips are something rosy fair
The sweetest smile and the kindest hands
I love the grass whereon he stands

I love my love and well he knows
I love the grass whereon he goes
If he no more on earth will be
'twill surely be the end of me

Something about it always brings Sirius to mind. I'd say it'd be from Remus's POV, but I can't help thinking that Sirius's death would "be the end" of him. Remus is too strong for that, although I could see it as an "end" of some sort inside Remus.

A poem I just discovered recently, Edwin Arlington Robinson's "Afterthoughts," reminds me of S/R as well. Not so much the second part of the poem, but especially the first and third ones.
