let me annoy you a little with soccer, because it stopped me from being productive. Well, I managed to do two banners in... one hour and an half when these things should take me less than ten minutes for both.

Yes i am annoyed with soccer. Annoyed so much that to hear that Costa Rica beat Italy , for fuck sake, dumped us out of the competition at the first hurdle.

At least, it's better than how bad was Spain's defeat :) That was really ridiculous, pretty much a France V2.

I'm personally boyotting the World Cup this year (because of the issues in Brasil, I can't watch the thing without feeling bad about it). But I'm hearing a lot about it from friends who are watching and just news reports.

I haven't seen France play since the last World Cup and they were awful, so I can't say I'm rooting for them (although from what I'm gathering they've tremendously improved).

But, even though I'm not watching, I'll always root for die Mannschaft! They've been my favorite for quite a while and never failed to disappoint me, and I saw some replays of the Germany-Portugal game which were all ridiculously satisfying to watch (Mueller, scoring 3 goals out of the 4 they made that night, SO GOOD). I hope they'll make it against Ghana and the US because they deserve it.

Well, France is always alternating between awfulness and rocking-so-much. The problem with last World Cup was that their play was brought down by the hell that was happening outside the field. And also, Domenech sucked and a sucky coach is rarely a good thing for a team.

I can't say I've got a favorite. Well, I do have a big soft spot for Brazil since 1998 and I follow France. And yeah, Germany always had a pretty good level.
