ootp is a book i found hard to get through but i think that has more with the editing than the content of the book itself.
also sometimes i think i am the only person that likes tonks. also(tangent)i wonder what the significance was of only having harry see the marauders and his mom in the forest and not everybody he knew that died.

Tonks has her fair share of fans, don't worry.

Well, those were the closest people to him, really. I mean, other than Dumbledore, but those four were more like family.

yeah and then dumbledore comes later. i think i just had this mental pic of like, dozens of people following him into the forest and it being kind of epic, but you have a point!

I think that would kill the poignancy of the moment. Or the intimacy rather.

yeah they def would be very different moments, but there was also the element of the whole reason he was going to die in the first was the guilt about the deaths he had caused. i'm not arguing it would be way better or anything, it's just something i've always thought about.
and even still with the choice of those four, why not just have his parents come, i just wonder if she had reasons/logic we don't know about, i don't know!
