upstate is treating me better than fine. two weeks have felt like two months and friendships have already felt long lasting. from my sixth floor view, i take the elevator (sometimes forced in slippers and drunken confusion) and i eat from a wide variety of nutritional disasters.
i'm lucky with a stocked fridge, free cable television and a snoring roommmate. security is perfectly low and the grass is wet in the mornings but dry in the afternoon.
classes are great (besides its reading overload), especially my writing class and my advisor speaks to me in spanish.
i was hired this morning as an assistant in the art department. i'm a office bitch but with great company and good hours.
my room is too cold and its way sunny out. i've got a paper to write by four and hours of sleep to catch up on.
