The trip to the Chesapeake Bay resort was exquisite. The wind, the water, the weather, the trail, the novel... Prekrasni! It was so hard to come back to reality. I, of course, got burned. My poor pale skin got into the pool after 4 PM and I still burned! Funny thing is all my freckles popped at the same time. And I didn't even know I had them in the places I have seen them now.
While I was walking on the golf course (one of the main reasons I love this place), I got asked twice to stop it. Apparently the resort has some new fears of being sued. As the last man told me, "there are missiles everywhere." I fought the urge to ask him if they were nuclear and if he had a gas mask to give me. And while I was walking on this amazing nature reserve/golf course, I came across some young golfers. If I did not detest them before... They go on golf carts throughout a wonderful course, stand around, and smoke cigars in khakis and button up shirts (what other 'sport' can do that?), and then go back to the hotel and get on a treadmill.
I go up to Pennsylvania tomorrow to see my Sandi and her husband celebrate their new life together. This is one marriage I am truly excited about. I even bought a dress and heels for the reception. *cheers* I love you sweets.
My health continues to get better. The plague that infested me is just about gone. My throat bothers me from time to time now, but it is the last hurrah of a most horrific disease that laid me flat out for 10 days about 2 weeks ago. The other medical things are much better this round. I honestly think my doctor looks forward to my visits because I inevitably have her laughing hysterically.
The 'rents are doing well. Dad celebrated his 80th and as Mom put it, "he made it." Apparently he was worried. I feel very blessed to still have them. As many know..one of the only reasons I remain in this area....
Thunderstorms are here! How I adore them. The lightning, the electricity, the noise, the rain, the passions they create... What a lovely dark evening. I hope it continues on into the night. It will be lovely to watch by candlelight.
