yesterday i went to a meeting that felt rather pointless, and like it was going nowhere.
today i went to a meet that i think actually made significant NEGATIVE progress. yes, some serious snippiness broke out that moves us further away from our goal.
ARGH.
so instead of talking about that anymore, or the mind-numbing 45 minutes of alchemy (the puzzle game) that followed it to aid decompression, i'm going to type up my recipe du jour:
put olive oil and coarsely chopped garlic in a pan. follow with coarsely chopped walnuts. fry for awhile. then add coarsely chopped tomato and eggplant. cover, to stew a bit. coarsely chop a lot of basil and a little rosemary and oregano. (or use whatever combination you want. i imagine cilantro could also really work, here, instead of those three.) add herbs to stew mixture after turning off heat. once herbs have wilted slightly, toss whole mixture with whole wheat pasta shapes. put salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese (optional--leave off for vegan version) on the food once it's on your plate. (you get more bang for your buck with the salt that way, enhancing the "salt burst" phenomenon, as described in what einstein told his cook, which is a good book with a stupid title.)
i consider it COARSELY CHOPPED PASTA: A DECONSTRUCTED PESTO.
yum. (so it's a good dish with a stupid title. you should still read the book, and you should still eat my pasta.)
i think i'll have ice cream for dessert.
work,
