Previously:
Memories Angelina seated herself first, muttering under her breath about loudmouthed, inconsiderate, rude, jerks masquerading as supposedly grown men. Alex was not far behind grumbling about bitchy blonde women, the brunette quickly realizing his mistake when he found himself on the receiving end of three withering glares. If looks could kill, he would be dead and buried three times over, Alex exercising some common sense and promptly shutting up as he joined the trio of women.
“Why don’t we order and then we’ll draw up an initial contract?” Angelina suggested calmly, pointedly ignoring Alex. “I’ll have to contact Mr. Marvelli to see if his legal team needs to be involved.”
Trish glanced between her cousin and Alex, “is everything okay Ang?”
Angelina smiled placidly, “perfectly fine, Trish.” And then she brought out her Blackberry. “Excuse me, I’m just going to contact Mr. Marvelli.”
Obviously, Alex had no clue that Angelina was really contacting Amy, the platinum blonde deliberately texting her cousin instead of calling. On the other end, Amy had to be careful as she was currently in the midst of a conference call with her father. Apparently, Randy Orton was a guest of the Bischoff family and welcomed at the Bischoff family mansion.
Needless to say, Amy was more than a little upset about that bit of news.
“Mr. Marvelli said that it shouldn’t be a problem to have a tentative contract written up,” Angelina informed her cousins. “We’ll just need to have an official copy typed up and signed by his legal advisor.”
“All right,” Jamie slid a glance to Alex, the brunette male still quiet. “So, Alex, are you certain that you want this job? Now that you know the depth of what this will entail.”
Alex huffed, drumming his fingers on the table top. “I have no reason to turn down an offer like this. I’m not sure why you three seem so convinced that I won’t take it.”
Angelina arched an eyebrow, “it’s not that but whether or not you’re capable of finishing this job.” A challenging glint entered her eyes, “this is basically your last chance to back down and walk away.”
Alex rolled his eyes a little, “I am not walking away, Princess. You can’t scare me.”
Angelina held back a triumphant smile, the platinum blonde quickly writing out a tentative contract based on the template that Amy had provided for her.
