With Alex following behind them, the three cousins decided to take a drive through the city of San Francisco so that they could see all of their properties. Amy, under the pseudonym of Chris Marvelli, had purchased the commercial storefronts that her father had sold to Trish and Jamie. That way, in case anything happened, they wouldn’t have to worry about paying Eric anything back. Amy had done a similar deal with Angelina and Mickie, her cousins essentially leasing the properties while Marvelli Investments and Advertising actually owned the properties. Naturally, she realized that she was taking a big risk by going against her father but Amy was willing to do what needed to be done.

Needless to say, they were all more than a little cranky by the time 2:00 came around.

“I could go for some lunch,” Jamie commented from the back seat of the spacious Cadillac Escalade SUV, another borrowed car from the Bischoff family garage. “Is there anywhere else we need to go Angel?”

“Nope… I’m just texting Ames for directions to the nearest IKEA,” Angelina was seated in the passenger’s seat while Trish drove. “There should be a café there, plus we can get a head start on looking for furnishings.”

Jamie arched an eyebrow, “for all of us?”

Angelina shrugged and then plugged in the directions into the GPS system, “might as well. I mean, I’m sure you’ll end up ordering the appliances for your café and stuff somewhere else because it needs to be industrial but it couldn’t hurt to look.” Smirking, she added, “and who am I to pass up an opportunity to have an all-expenses paid shopping spree at IKEA?”

Trish slid a glance to her cousin, “Why the need to get it all at IKEA? I thought you were renting the units unfurnished.”

Angelina shook her head, “initially, they’ll be unfurnished. But, as a special offer to potential tenants, I’ll offer to furnish the apartment. Rent will be slightly higher, but it will all even out.”

“And does Alex know that?” Jamie questioned, genuinely curious. Because, to the best of her knowledge, there were six two-bedroom units and three three-bedroom units that Angelina had to rent out. Plus whatever else they all felt like furnishing and decorating.

“Nope, but if he doesn’t like it, that’s just too bad. He’ll just have to put his money where his mouth is.”

Not much else was said as they had finally arrived to their destination; Trish circling the parking lot briefly before finding a suitable spot while Alex parked nearby. The three women also needed to find furniture and decorations for their own apartments since they really didn’t intend on staying at the Bischoff family mansion forever. As it stood right now, and aside from their clothes, all they had between them was a vacuum, a set of dishes and a beat-up couch.
