She’s in Toronto, staying with Trish, but she doesn’t go to the arena… not to hang out and not to watch. If Lita’s going to watch Smackdown it will be on Friday with the rest of the United States. And when Trish returns, the brunette informs her that they’re going out tomorrow night with Adam, Jay and whoever else decides that they want to come.
Lita knows that saying ‘no’ is not an option and that she should just forget that the word exists in her vocabulary.
She probably wouldn’t have said no anyway if she had been given the option.
And she won’t admit that she’s nervous when she and Trish head out the following evening. Because being nervous around old friends is just ridiculous.
But she is nervous.
And then she’s being engulfed in a hug by Adam and Jay, and almost instantly she’s inundated with memories.
Lita almost misses being on the road and in the WWE as they let go.
But she doesn’t miss it enough to want to return full time.
And then she’s being approached by Randy Orton, that customary cocky smirk on his face and there’s no hesitance when he also reaches for her. If he had hesitated than Lita would have worried because he doesn’t hesitate.
There are more hugs exchanged as she makes her way to a table, finding a seat somewhere in the large cluster of people. Though technically she’s not sitting on a chair, but somehow she doesn’t think that the third generation St. Louis native is going to let her go anytime soon.
So, instead of arguing and for sake of humoring him, she remains where she is. Or she will for now, anyway. The night is still young after all and she’s amongst friends.
