Title: In View

Disclaimer: Not mine, semi-A/U

Rating: PG-13 for language
Characters/Pairing: Lita, Alex Shelley
Summary: It was all just a matter of perspective
Notes: Nothing to say for myself. One of these days I'll go for the full 50
1. She’s not feminine (her own words, not his) but that still doesn’t mean that he won’t appreciate the view when she’s walking away and especially when she’s wearing skin-tight black leather pants. (Walk.)
2. The first time that they met was a memorable day, for many occasions, because even though they’ve at least known of each other for quite some time; it’s the first time that they actually speak to each other. (First.)
3. The first time that they talk, beyond that first meeting anyway, is equally memorable because it was a chance meeting at a local café (struggling to stay in business against Starbucks) and they’d ordered the same drink (though hers was iced and his was hot); she can’t remember who spoke first but she does know that she spent close to two hours seated across from him. (Ice.)
4. He can’t pinpoint when things change, not that he would be keeping track of sentimental shit like that anyway, but they can both feel it ebbing beneath the surface; probably there from the beginning, not that either of them would ever admit to watching the other. (Beginning.)
5. Fittingly enough, it’s the first time that they argue that their unresolved emotional bullshit (a friend’s words not theirs) fully comes to surface; resulting in angry eyes, flushing cheeks and the two standing nearly nose to nose. (Argue.)
6. Despite that they still vehemently deny that there’s any feelings between them (except for loathing, her words or disgust, his words) which fully explains why two normally confident people go out of their way to avoid each other. (Hide.)
7. It takes the conspiring actions of mutual friends (and involves a double date and a blind date that coincidentally take place at the exact same location) paired with thinly veiled heated looks (that are supposedly one’s of hatred) … but that doesn’t mean that they’re jealous because that would just be absurd. (Jealousy.)
8. That same night they run into each other in the hallway, though no words are exchanged between them because nothing needs to be said; instead it’s only a look but that look speaks volumes and is made of equal parts challenge and promises. (Hallway).
9. Neither of them are the types for conventional relationships and she’s had bad experiences in the past and his reputation in relationships precedes him (because really he should come with a warning label) plus, by that point, they’ve built quite the friendship. (Friendship.)
10. But because they also believe that some rules are meant for breaking and clichés are overrated, not to mention the fact that they’ve been handcuffed together by well-meaning friends who have told them, quite succinctly, to just fuck and get it over with; Alex and Lita finally give in and finish what they started after their argument. (Kiss.)
