Memories The next morning, after narrowly avoiding a food fight between the rambunctious boys in the dining room of the resort; Beth, Natalya and Gail arrived to drop off clothing, toys and DVDs along with two rented mini-vans. Several of the toys and DVDs were subsequently deemed inappropriate, Amy, Jamie and Eve making plans to return the items later that day. While they were out, they decided that a trip to the grocery store was also in order so they could avoid having to go the dining room at the resort in the near future.
Jamie had managed to coax Angelina into staying with Christy; the redhead planning on taking Kelly, Maryse and Angelina to the Magic Kingdom later to meet Princesses. Once Madison had overheard, she had begged Tara to go as well.
Beth, Gail and Natalya had graciously offered to watch A.J, Rob, Alex Riley and Miz while Jamie, Amy and Eve would attempt to run errands with Punk, Evan, Alex, Josh, Randy and John.
Currently they were waiting in the parking lot while Amy and Jamie sorted through the purchases and made sure they had the important receipts.
“Why did they have to pick Toys-R-Us?” Eve said and then sighed, “I mean, it’s a great store for kids, but I wouldn’t go there willingly.”
“Who knows?” Jamie replied, the two women, Sam, Josh, John and Randy in one of the mini-vans.
Meanwhile, in the other mini-van because Dean had flat-out refused to let the evil trio in his Impala; Amy was trying to restore peace.
“Look, Alex? If you can behave, I will buy you a video game.” A pause, “and Phil? No fighting or teasing Evan and I will buy you a video game.” Another pause as she turned to send an assessing look between the two, “but if you two can’t behave, no ice cream tonight and we’re going to stay behind while everyone else goes to see the fireworks.”
“Don’t I get some sort of reward?”
Amy arched an eyebrow at the green eyed male, “Dean… they’re children. Maybe you’re a child trapped in an adult’s body, but that’s no excuse.”
With those last minute instructions out of the way, they finally exited the mini-van, Evan grasping Amy’s left hand while Alex had her right hand. Punk, reluctantly, was loosely holding Dean’s hand though he claimed that he was a big boy and didn’t need to.
Once they were all inside the store, Eve headed towards the girls toys while John and Randy dragged Sam towards the rows of action figures. Jamie and Amy met near the customer service desk so they could make the returns; Josh, Alex, Evan and Punk fidgeting impatiently nearby, Dean standing with them.
Josh tapped Dean’s thigh, blue eyes solemn, “I have to go potty.”
Nearby, Evan was also squirming in a similar fashion as Josh. “Me too.”
Dean rubbed a hand over his face, “fine, fine… let’s go.” Without giving Punk or Alex the chance to protest, he grabbed their hands as well.
Once they were out of earshot and since they still had some time to wait, Jamie slanted a glance sideways. “So… how exactly do you know Dean?”
Amy smiled dryly, “there’s not enough time to discuss that right now, J. Plus? This really isn’t the place.”
“We’ll find the time,” Jamie said, and then smirked. “Because with an excuse like that, now you have to tell me.”
“And I will,” Amy reassured, “on my terms of course, but I’ll tell you.”
The redhead left it at that, the two women eventually making it to the counter just as Dean returned with the boys.
“Did you behave for Dean?” Amy questioned Alex and Phil, Jamie splitting up the money from the returns. And when the two nodded, she glanced to Dean for confirmation.
“Amazingly,” he replied. “We would have gotten back sooner but we uh, got held up.”
Evan tugged on Amy’s hand, the six year old then pointing to a nearby busty blonde causing the redhead to roll her eyes.
“Maybe I should have asked if you had behaved,” Amy deadpanned to Dean.
“She asked if she could help me babysit, that was all.” Dean explained, cracking a sheepish smile. “She thought they were mine and I tried to explain but that one,” he pointed to Josh, “wanted to get back.”
“Of course,” Amy said, her tone clipped, the redhead accepting half of the money from Jamie. “Come on boys,” she then motioned for Punk and Alex to join her, “time to go shopping.”
Once they were at Amy’s side, Punk and Alex blew raspberries at Dean, Evan also making a face at the green eyed male.
