Summary: Follows the post-college life of a group of friends over the course of a year in a Santa Monica apartment complex.

Josh and Jamie eyed their friends with mixed looks of confusion and amusement, though fully clothed Amy and Alex looked as though they’d taken a shower somewhat recently or fell into a fountain. And for as long as she’d known Amy and Alex, Jamie was certain there was some sort of explanation. Whether it made any sense or if they would even bother explaining was another story all together.
Josh looked between the pair, “did you two have lunch with Aquaman or go through the carwash without a car?”
Amy shook her head, sliding down easily, toes digging into the carpeting a little as she wrung a little more seawater from her hair. “Nope, we were just…”
“Reminiscing,” Alex supplied, running a hand through his damp hair before picking a piece of seaweed from Amy’s shoulder. “About…”
“Stuff.”
“Yeah.”
Jamie arched an eyebrow, “reminiscing about stuff? Really?”
“Really,” Amy confirmed, grabbing the key to the hotel room from Alex’s pants pocket. “What did you two do?”
“We went kayaking.”
Amy grinned, “If you’re ever in Ensenada? You should totally try kayaking there.”
Alex nodded, “relatively calm waters, beautiful views. Definitely recommended…. And you should stay at the beach resort; they don’t need reservations, pretty affordable and clean rooms.”
“And there’s this one place near the resort that has awesome margaritas.”
“We’ll keep that in mind,” Jamie said, finally getting out the key for her and Josh’s hotel room.
“Right well, we should probably get changed if we’re going to meet Christy and A.J on time,” the redhead opened the door, disappearing inside with Alex following shortly.
Josh blinked at the door, “have they always been like that?”
Jamie nodded, “pretty much but that was actually pretty tame for them.” And at Josh’s look of disbelief she clarified, “you’ll see what I mean when we go to Big Sur. Or, if you’re really willing to risk your sanity? Spend 24 hours with them, give them lots of sugar and coffee and don’t let them sleep.”
Josh shook his head, “no way, no how. I’ve been around Alex in a similar situation and that’s never happening again.”
With that said, Jamie and Josh entered their hotel room long enough to change into more appropriate clothing for the zip line; meeting Amy and Alex in the hallway before they went to the lobby to wait for A.J and Christy.
