Ken Amada

TOO MATURE KID SOCIAL LINK

Minato appreciates the time he's been given here with Ken. Ken is mature, strong, and good-hearted, yes, but that's been clear the entire time. Minato is far more interested in the kid side of him, because he wants him to be able to relax and let go a little at times. He would like Ken to not have to try so hard around him, because why should he try so hard to grow up? He should enjoy his childhood while he has it.

So he is happy to watch movies with him or go egg hunting with him on Easter. Maybe if he does the things with Ken, the boy will feel less awkward about, well...acting like a kid.

And maybe that way he can relax and enjoy his childhood a little bit more.

Vietnam

OBA-SAN MATURE COUNTRY SOCIAL LINK

Vietnam is a calm, cool presence in Minato's life. Knowing Japan already, it was easier to accept her as a country, and well...why not? If she's a country, she's a country.

And she's a very kind country as well. She told him to think of her as an aunt, since Japan is like a brother to her and Minato appreciates the offer and kindness. Hopefully his history lessons won't fail him when he gets teh opportunity to speak with her more and learn more about her as her--not just as a country.

Hanged Man;

Xerxes Break

STRANGE OLD MAN SOCIAL LINK

Break is a little strange.

And by a little, we mean he's a lot strange. He's obviously not going to open up to Minato any time soon, but Minato doesn't mind--he has this thing called patience, and he's willing to exercise it. So while Break tries to brush him off and troll him and twist his words, Minato will patiently try to get to know him.

Because he wants to. And he ~wants to be your friend~, Break.

Deal with it.

Kanaya Maryam

>CHAINSAW??? MOTHERLY TROLL SOCIAL LINK

So this is a relationship that could have begun better.

Then again, most any relationship can begin better than seeing her chainsaw off Tsukasa's head.

Explanations were given, and Minato understands to an extent wanting to fulfill a friend's last request--

But the disregard for life is difficult for him, cultural differences or no, and while he is willing to get to know Kanaya better, it only thoroughly reminded him of how bitter those differences can be.

Gamzee Makara

KID THAT EATS GLUE SOCIAL LINK

Despite whatever "rough" start they've had, Gamzee was quick to become someone important to Minato. He's his "capribro", a younger brother of sorts who, while he has gotten himself into trouble at times, also has only the best of intentions and the highest of hopes (sometimes. When not otherwise occupied with miracles). Gamzee is someone Minato will watch out for and help as much as he can; he's a youngster who has lost too much and has been left too many times, and Minato can relate to that much, at least.

So he plans to stick by him and stay for as long as Gamzee needs him. After all, he doesn't leave his family.

Naoki Kashima

DERP DEMON SOCIAL LINK

Naoki is...an interesting case. Their relationship has been a bit of a rollarcoaster ride, and yet at the same time, it has been the sturdiest friendship you could imagine. From the moment they met (fighting ghost pirates), they connected with their desire to help people. From then, it was Minato that was there when Naoki was feeling down, and slowly, he learned more about the boy who had been through so much.

When Naoki snapped, it was Minato who stood in his way--and it was Minato who fought him, a rather painful fight for the both of them. But...he plans to be there whenever Naoki needs someone, and that includes someone to knock sense into him.

As it stands now, Minato thinks that Naoki means well, very well, but he doesn't know how to make decisions for himself, particularly important ones. He's been forced into too much, and Minato wants, more than anything, to allow Naoki to come to his own conclusions about things, without caving to opinions on any other side. Because he cares a lot about his fellow teenage protagonist, no matter how different their circumstances might have been.

But it seems the other has made the decision to take care of Minato. And he's not entirely sure what to think of that.

Silver

LOST POKEMON TRAINER SOCIAL LINK

Silver is someone who doesn't need help--but someone who has asked for it nonetheless. To Minato, he is someone who has been brave enough to question his own ways of thought, to wonder if maybe he really is in the wrong, and while it's slow going, for that reason and that reason alone Minato will stand by Silver until he figures it out for himself.

Besides, in a world that is so ready to judge a teenager for doing wrong, Minato thinks he deserves a chance.

Jack Vessalius

MUSIC LOVER SOCIAL LINK

Jack is Minato's new piano teacher. That may not sound like much, but for a kid not used to being taught much at all, it's pretty significant. No matter how quickly or slowly he picks up piano, he'll always appreciate Jack's offer and assistance and patience. He considers the older man someone he is very grateful to have gotten to know by chance, and he hopes that with their learning of new songs he can learn a bit about his new acquaintance as well.

Jim Hawkins

FELLOW MINICREW SNARK PARTNER SOCIAL LINK

For Minato, it doesn't even matter if Jim is someone that Aniki is working on or not. Because he simply appreciates the other's company (even if they've only spoken over phone) the snark and deadpan refreshing after everything. It's like they're on their own wavelength (the snarky teenage angstagonist wavelength) and that makes Jim an extremely easy person to relate to.

It doesn't, however, make him a very easy person to know. But for now all Minato has is gratitude for Jim's help in fixing Aigis; someday he'll find a way to repay him, and maybe get to know him at the same time.

Yusuke Urameshi

ABUSIVE GUARDIAN (?) SOCIAL LINK

Yusuke punched Minato in the face.

This pretty much describes everything.

Well, not quite. He punched Minato in the face for not taking care of himself properly, and while Minato protested, of course, he supposes in some odd way he can be grateful for Yusuke's insistance on taking care of him--if it's a little painful sometimes.

Maya Amano

BADASS BIG SIS SOCIAL LINK

Maya is really something special. From the moment he met her, she was enthusiastic, cheerful and positive, something he didn't quite expect from someone dead and trapped in an underwater world. She drags him into things, pulls him around and teases him with bunnies and pink pajamas, but overall...Maya acts as a big sister to him.

This isn't the sort of influence Minato is much used to. But as she looks out for him and asks him about himself and tries to help him and take care of him...

It's an influence that he's slowly getting used to. At the very least, it feels odd these days to call her anything other than "Maya-nee".

Sun;

Amaterasu

SEES PUPPY / RESIDENT GODDESS SOCIAL LINK

Amaterasu is indeed the sun goddess in wolf form, somehow. But after getting past that initial confusing roadblock, it became clear that Ammy is simply taking care of them all, especially Junpei and Ken.

Minato appreciates her stepping up and watching out for his teammates--and for him too--and he happily will call her an honorary member of SEES for so long as they're all there and working together.

Judgement;

Katsu Aoki

FELLOW MESSIAH BRO SOCIAL LINK

Katsu is an interesting case. He's his fellow protag, and Minato can tell that the other really wants to protect and take care of people. He can only approve of that, really. Katsu's a very likable, charismatic person, and a bit of a leader as well.

At the same time, their morals don't exactly match up. Katsu's job is apparently to be the Messiah--to judge people for their sins. Minato wanted to stop ultimate judgement of people, to let them make their own choices. It's not so surprising that they don't exactly agree there.

It hasn't become a clashing point yet (because they are both chill protags) but it does leave a bit of an uncomfortable feeling when Minato thinks too hard about what, exactly, Messiah means for Katsu.

Naoya

CRANKY OLD MAN SOCIAL LINK

Naoya is a difficult one. He knows far too much about Minato, and has been calling him 'Little Messiah' from the moment they met--learning the connotations of said word for Naoya from Katsu, Minato isn't too fond of the title. It's inaccurate, and he doesn't want to give Naoya false pretenses. And this is why he had no problems telling Naoya exactly what happened when asked.

As for the man himself, he's an enigma--Minato can tell that he's bitter and angry, but he doesn't know why and he's pretty sure Naoya isn't about to open up to him any time soon. All he can do, really, is keep an eye out for Katsu and Naoya both, and try to ignore the creeper vibes every time Naoya looks right through him.
