Adventures in Parenting #421 - The Knitting Circles

And by Knitting Circles, I mean the other mom's that bring their kids to the park and sit aroung chatting. So today around 2 pm, I went over to one of the mother's houses that I met last week - I had some things to drop off and figured I could see if she wanted to take her kids to the park. She invites me in - but she's to busy to go out now. Sure enough, something's cooking on the stove. So she turns to me and says "So have you finished your cooking, already?"

*sputters*

And no, she wasn't talking about lunch. She was talking about Dinner for My HusbandTM. I refrained from scaring her by saying he could help me fix dinner when he got up (he's on nights this week) but I just said no. I also didn't tell her that I have over two weeks of mess to mop up under Jr's high chair.

Obviously, I fail at Housewife 101. Can't say I'm really sorry either. *sobs* Not that I don't love spending time with Jr, I do. He's awesome. But I can't handle the Knitting Circle and all that leaves me with is Jr to talk to. And his current vocabulary is up to: Dada, Juice, Up, Oh-ho, Mmmmm, Cheese, Pizza, berries.

Nope mama's not on the list. Everyone's Dada. Some days, there's just no justice. Would it be wrong to whine about the lack of professional jobs?
