In Which Things Get Permanent

Oh boy. My LJ name. Lunarflight is the first name I ever went by on the internet. Back when I was thirteen (younger?), my sister and I started exploring the internet for the first time through shitty dial-up. It was awesome.
One of the first things we did was sign up for email accounts with hotmail. You know, back before it was owned by Microsoft and didn't suck so much. Well, to sign up, obviously you have to pick out a name for your email. While my sister was at least semi-prepared for this and had a few variations on a name she wanted to use, I was not. I prodded various possibilities that were obviously taken (like dragoness. Yeah, I was fantasy dork even way back then). I tried hawkmoon, combining my love of birds of prey with my personal connection with the moon.
That was also taken.
So my next attempt was a variant of that, lunarflight.
Which was not taken. Since then, I've pretty much kept that username for almost every site or messenger I sign up to, with a few exceptions, either due to the name being taken already, or my own whim at the moment.
List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Bad: My back has formed a constant knot of pain again. New place, not as bad as the one a few summers ago. But it's there and, well, ow. Ah well, should be getting new computer set up soon and that should help.
Good: Re-read Bridge of Birds this afternoon. The ending of that book still makes me cry happy tears. <3 <3 Now I want to write fairy tales again.
