Meiling? I'll admit it. There are a few things you are better at that than I am. You have a proper green thumb and you're excellent around children

Perhaps the timing isn't perfect, nor the place, but there's time enough for all of that later. What matters is the feelings, and that we were both ready to talk them out.

[She's not entirely sure how to take that quietness, not at first. But then there's a different look in his eyes, his hands on her shoulders, and she smiles.]

I do know. I'm from Gensokyo, after all; a land where things that shouldn't exist do, and magic is the greatest strength we all share. I'm not the same type of magician as the witch in the forest, or the puppeteer, or Patchouli-sama, our elementalist. But I have the utmost respect for it as an art and as a craft.

...thank you. Remilia-ojou-sama isn't here, but if she does arrive, it's a comfort to know that I'll be able to watch over her. It's my choice to follow her, and it always will be. In a way, I owe her my life, but even still, it was a choice that I made willingly.

Likewise, I'll respect your own choices and decisions, and support them all. All you need do is ask, and I'll provide any support or aid that you need.
