A more efficient method of electing the president
Ah, what a weekend... to wind down this weekend's various excitement I was surfing around the web, and found a better way to conduct the 2004 elections.
Now, I know you all are going to groan once I make yet another reference to Star Trek... BUT HEAR ME OUT!!!
"As a Klingon, I would prefer you give both opponents weapons and beam them down to a desolate planet to fight it out amongst themselves, with the survivor being the victor, but that is not your way. Your way is to allow the citizens to decide by voting. So be it."

But, doesn't that sound a lot more effective? Instead of sitting through all these political commercials why not give Kerry and Bush swords, and strand them on Mars for a week. It would spare us all some misery wouldn't it?
