Today was lazy. Very lazy. Didn't do much. Then again
I did a lot. That's what happens on days off.
I accidentally slept in til 11. I was supposed to get up at 9 to
practice because I've done almost none this week. So after
beating myself up I worked on the Beethoven, and got part of the part
that's been bugging me for three months partially fixed. (In
other words, I worked and got little accomplished). And I ate a
lot of food for lunch. Ham sandwich, chips and salsa, orange,
bread pudding... It doesn't sound like a lot, but Oh it is!!
Then I went to the mall. My mom had a coupon for Lord and
Taylor. So I met a friend there and she bought a dress for
homecoming, and I looked at shawls for my dress for homecoming or prom
or both, with no success. Well there was nice stuff, but it
didn't fit into my criteria. I'm looking for something 1.Pretty
2.Warm 3.Inexpensive. Number 3 usually nixed everything at that
store, even with the coupon.
Then to piano lessons, which were ok. Seeing as I hadn't
practiced too much, the Ravel and Liszt were sorely lacking. And
Mrs. Y was so good as to pretend like she didn't notice. She's
good at doing that. Like last year after state when I did poorly
she said that it was very subjective and that some judges are like that
and she didn't blame me. What she didn't tell me and I discovered
eight months later online was that my duet partner had gotten 1st in
state. And neither told me so as to not make me feel bad.
I'm going to miss them sorely when I go to college.
Then after dinner we went to pick up the old blue car. My parents
had it fixed because it wouldn't cost much. And now I finally
have incentive to learn to drive. I would have a car!! So I
am learning. Mom and I are going out tomorrow and Sunday to work
on it. Then we went to Fritz's for ice cream. Yum....
But now I feel very full like I'm going to explode. Then we
called grandma and learned that my aunt and uncle had gotten in
early. So we ran over there.
And it's arrived!! Remember that beautiful prom dress I talked
about a few weeks ago? Well, if I didn't get I would regret it,
so Mom and Dad got it for me two weeks ago. But here's the whole
twisted events of how I finally got it. Back in September we went
to Ohio for my cousin's wedding (the son of the aunt and uncle who are
in town this weekend). And my parents left my dress (and mom's
too) here at home. So we had to go out and buy new ones for the
wedding. And mom opened an account at Lazarus which we don't have
here. Back to present day, my mom had a coupon to Lazarus, so she
bought The dress over the phone and my aunt and uncle from Ohio brought
it today! It's beautiful.
That's about it for today. It's going to rain tonight. And
the fact that my knee hurts reinforces the fact that something is
moving in weather-wise.
