What an incredible place. Did it feel powerful or magical in any way?

Yes, the whole area feels like that. I've visited a few villages, patches of woodland and fields in the area and there is a lovely, soothing energy to it. If it wasn't so expensive and a little tricky to commute to work I'd probably choose to live there a while.

The sunshine and the rain we've had lately has nourished the land rather early this year. Bluebells are already making an appearance.

Aye, it feels very ancient. I wish I could step back in time and experience their rituals (though perhaps not directly, depending on the ritual!) It would vbe intriguing to find out who was buried there and how they formed the chambers.

It was the highlight of my weekend :)

It is a shame that we will never know much in the way of facts about what really went on in those sites but the sense of reverence, worship and age that you get is incredible isn't it. I'd like to know more but keeping that sense of mystery is really important too.

Thanks m,'lovely. Friday's meeting went well - it really affirmed that the course is what I msot want. It'll be a challenge - the work load is a big jump from an undergraduate degree, and the style of work much more varied - but overall I think it'll take me in the right direction. I can defer entry for Feb too and begin part time to gradually get into the work, which is good. The financial side is pending, though there is slightly more hope than there was, but still too vague. Patience (grr, lol).

Hope things are going ok with yourself & Myf. We must catch up soon.
