love the feds
so today i got a call. on my cellphone from the census beauro. yes. they were here at BB (thats the dorm complex where i live people from ohio) and randomly picked me for census info taking. their questions were awful... they were trying to pin down how much edu. childsupport foodstamps etc. minorities have. of course. what else do they waste their time with?
so i've been taking this class called art in identity. its a good class. easy. fun. see my icon. thats art and identity.
anyway. we got onto the topic of race and prof. marien was like, i refuse race. so we got talking about this in class and today i tried it.
census woman- "yada yada yada... race race race...nothing that really describes anyone, which one are you?"
roslyn- "well i prefer not to define myself by race."
census woman- "so would it be ok if i put down white?"
now this highly trained woman has now skewed the census info for 2006 congrats. censusing sucks.
