i am grateful today for the 9 digits i have that do not ache painfully, stabbed through with some evil thorn that is way too deep to extricate.
i am grateful for the whole of my skin (minus that smaller than a dime-sized spot on my left shoulder) that is not plagued with horribly itchy eczema.
i am grateful for the sunshine that lifted my mood as soon as i woke this morning even though it wasn't my choice to be awake.
i am grateful for the sweet girl who woke me up way too early, begging me to take the velcro curlers out of her hair because they were stabbing her in the neck.
i am grateful for a new friend i've made who is gentle and sweet and easy to talk to (and loves -and is loved by- my kids.)
