I've been watching the
fandom_secrets community ever since school started back up this semester because it's probably one of the most amusing communities I've come across in my entire life and I just couldn't pass it up. Lately I've been seeing a lot of Heroes fandom secrets about a girl who is apparently convinced that she is dating Zachary Quinto.
I, of course, became extremely curious, because really, who would actually believe someone they met online who claimed to a famous actor? Like most people, I would demand pictures, and, having failed to receive them, completely disregard any and all allegations the stranger makes from there on out. Granted, it's not like the tried and true method of "PIX OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN" can really apply here, since the person in question is fairly well-known and has been in many photo shoots, but you know what I mean.
So anyway. I didn't dig too deeply, though. I couldn't. I didn't have any leads, didn't know where to look. I don't know anyone that batshit crazy (or, if I do, he or she is extremely good at hiding it) and I didn't see anyone with information on the subject in the f_s comments.
So, I gave it up. It would be a mystery I would never solve.
Then
this suddenly popped up (link given to me by
canadian_turtle).
And apparently this mess has even made it to
fandom_wank over at journalfen.
WOAH.
And it gets better.
I haven't had to time to read all the stuff at the first link, but oh sweet Christmas. Every time I start to have hope, just a tiny, infinitesimal little bit of hope that the internet can be a beautiful place, someone comes by and RUINS EVERYTHING. I think I have more faith in humanity than what's healthy.
There are people out there in the Heroes fandom who are even more batshit crazy than the Sylaire shippers.
