I refuse to accept that the white stuff falling outside for the past two days is snow. It's... goose down, that's what it is. A bunch of Canada Geese flew by and molted. Or better yet, there was a big wind down in Washington and these are cherry blossom petals falling serenely from the sky.
As someone I know put it, grumpily, during an April snowstorm a few years ago, "Il neige. Big fat stinkin' white flocons."
Though, *koff*, I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, and where I'm going it's currently about 20 degrees warmer than Ottawa, so I'm not complaining. And there will be ocean! Yay!
