This is gorgeous.

I loved the little details, the sights and the scents, the way Suzaku is in motion even when he tries not to be, and of course the princess, that dream he can't quite hold onto. The interaction between he and Lelouch rings true and sums up their relationship so nicely and I love all the foreshadowing you have to the beast Suzaku is hiding inside of himself, all those things he would rather not acknowledge crawling around beneath his skin.

What I love the most is the sense of transformation, of something moving towards completion, a mood you managed to capture so well.

I just...and you wrote it for me and ....asdkfjsdfjkgsdj a.a♥♥♥ This definitely makes me want to finish that piece I'm working on and I'm going to try and see if I can't get it done soon...so it can be your turn again. XD

Thank you. ♥

Uwa, I'm glad you like it. @_@ I've been wanting to use the watch as a theme of sorts and it just sort of...went from there. Suzaku is impossible to rein in once he gets going, isn't he? XD; He jerked me around at the end because apparently my initial idea didn't please him. I've also had those songs you sent me on repeat.

Of course it's for you~ You first mentioned the series a long time ago, and when I came across it I thought I'd give it a download. So my crazed obsession is partly your fault. :D ♥

Suzaku is up there with Ken from Weiss Kreuz, who while not my favorite WK boy, will NOT shut up once he gets started. Suzaku was really that bad for me and just wouldn't let me alone. Oh? Can I ask what your initial idea was? LOL. Glad I could help with the music. XD I need to get the rest of those up for you. ♥ I really do like it though. It's a gorgeous bit of writing and very good character development.

I shall take the blame for this, yes! ♥ But you totally encouraged the Suza/Lulu so that's your fault. XD

Ahh, WK. Any idea when the new season will be out? I'm a little bit scared of the huge cast introduced in the trailer, but so many of them look pretty or cool. XD;

Nothing drastically different, mostly just details and movements. He got very, very specific when handling the watch - in the beginning, too. He's still not totally happy with the taking-off-the-gloves part, but I was tired of messing with the line. Also, I originally planned to include the first two lines of the phone conversation, but he rejected having Lelouch in that scene at all.

XD *is just glad to have a partner in crime*

Well, it's 3 PM here and I still think this story was a good idea. :D I actually rather like that it wasn't a pairing fic; it was sweet, simple, and sad enough at the end that, uh, I cringed a little when I saw it coming.

But seriously. Good stuff. No regrets, you. ♥

XD Good to know it holds up in daylight hours. Suzaku was very strict about Lelouch's appearances and did not let him be mentioned at all by the end. I really should make an attempt to write Lelouch for a change.

I don't mind if this story isn't a true SuzaLulu, as I've told you before, I love your Suzaku. I love the focus on the watch, symbolic as it ticks away pieces of his sanity. I enjoyed the moments where Suzaku would lose control and then be unable to remember the next day. I also like the part where Suzaku thinks about getting the watch fixed and yet never does. Of course, the night scene was touching, especially with Lelouch getting sick and then not wanting to be tended by Suzaku in the morning. I love whenever try to give their own spin on what the boys might have done for that one brief summer in their childhood. And Lelouch, who won't ever flat come out and say how he feels, but is as protective as always. I also really enjoyed the Euphemia's death scene with Suzaku unsure whether it's he who doesn't want to see Euphemia as she is now or it's Euphemia who wouldn't want to see him as he is now. I noticed we didn't get as much of fake!Suzaku as I expected, except for a few brief flashes, but I appreciate being able to study more of ( ... )

Ah, the last line. It is kind of excessive. I thought that line should be the end while I was halfway through outlining/writing notes for everything else. It was originally shorter, too. The part where Suzaku cuts himself on the glass before leaving the watch with Euphemia just happened randomly, and I thought "Wow, what with all the fist-clenching and gun-gripping he does at the end, that must ache." So I added that to the sentence, tacked the whole thing onto the end, declared victory, and passed out. ...Maybe I should get a beta reader.

I think I just take too much delight in dragging true!Suzaku to the surface, fake!Suzaku gets neglected or ripped to shreds. :D;
