arboreal fun

The National Puzzlers' League convention was great. The puzzles and games this year were all high-quality. It was wonderful to see my Krewe buddies again and to meet some new friends. And those of you who couldn't make it, you were missed!

I got to spend some time checking out downtown Ann Arbor, which is a pretty cool place. I wouldn't mind moving in to Zingerman's Deli, which was not only scrumptious, but even put a puzzle on the menu for us:

The convention packet included a map of the city's bookstores, and I was determined to take a tour. In 2.5 hours I managed to hit 8 bookstores. I bought 5 books and 2 games. A couple of the stores I just stopped in for a minute or two (like the original Borders, which turns out to look exactly like every other Borders), but others I spent a while browsing through. My favorite was the Dawn Treader Book Shop. I took this picture there for jellyfrog:

Fun trip, and now it's nice to be home again.
