1. I hate my networking class with a fiery passion. There is so much material to learn and 90% of it seems to be presented in a foreign language. It is very hard for me, being program and design oriented, to switch over to hardware and networking. If that wasn't enough, the teacher seems to have it in for me and likes picking on clueless me whenever he gets the opportunity. Ugh. I didn't go on Monday because I felt sick and I didn't have the stomach to deal with that class. I come in today and the teacher gives me a hard time about it in front of class, 90% of whom have been absent or extremely tardy on a regular basis. But, of course, I miss one freakin' day and I get chewed out for it. He also made it painfully clear that he wants me to come in on Friday (my day off) to "make it up." How could I say no with the whole class staring at me? Argh. Hate. Hate. HATE.
2. In brighter news, I finally saw Brokeback Mountain on Friday. I thought it was pretty good, though I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with it. With all the praise it has been receiving I was expecting to be blown away. In the end, I thought it was an "okay" film, but not quite good enough to earn the title of Best Film at the Oscars (just my opinion, of course). Go Crash!
3. New Lost and Veronica Mars tonight. Yesssss. The best remedy for a particularly crappy day at school.
4. On Friday I was supposed to (maybe) be an extra in a movie that's filming here. All the more reason for me to feel resentful towards my networking class. :(
5. I read Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights in the last week or two. Adored both, and am currently eying Good Omens for my next book. I'm trying to get (at least) two books read a month. Anyone have any recommendations?

6. Oh yeah, I watched the Superbowl. The winner for best commercial is...*drum roll*...the Crime Deterrent Cell Phone! I laughed SO HARD at that one! Second place goes to the one with little girl letting go of her balloon when she thinks her dad died. ("Well, that killed him). Hee!
