Two events this weekend
For those who are local and so inclined, here is what I will be doing this weekend:

Drop In Fiction Writers Group (I am leading it)
Witches Brew Coffee Shop in Wheatridge
followed by 7pm Performance Open Mic
(I am host, but am very interested in finding a co-host, preferably a musician)

GREEN FUSE POETIC ARTS BENEFIT CONCERT - 7:00 PM
5th Street & Lincoln Ave. (US 287) Downtown

Price: $10 includes buffet
The Green Fuse Poetic Arts Association Benefit Concert will take place
at the Loveland Museum in conjunction with Loveland’s “A Night on the
Town.” It will feature, from 7-8pm, the Human Beams, a folk/jazz band
from Denver, interspersed with a poetry open mic. From 8:30pm-9:30pm
the blues music of Papa Juke, with Green Fuse member M.D. Friedman on
harmonica, will perform, and dancing will be encouraged. At 9:30pm the
results of the silent art auction, with artwork by Tom Katsimpalis, Jo
Burke, Amy Irish and Maggie Rowlett, among others, will be announced.
A complimentary buffet dinner will be provided by Green Fuse member
Hilary DePolo’s catering service. Tickets for the benefit concert are
$10.00. Proceeds go towards the publication of IMPROV, An Anthology of
Colorado Poets, Colorado’s only annual anthology of %100 homegrown
poets. Green Fuse is a non-profit endeavor. New members are always
welcome, as are donations, which are tax-deductible.
