Life is getting rather...blurry.

Eleven days 'til we leave for Hawaii, and we're all running around like those Y2K nuts (remember them?). We keep drawing up lists of things we "need" and running around trying to find everything, but instead we seem to end up buying things even we can't try to claim we really need.
Case in point: I spent weeks looking for a certain kind of shoe I was convinced I had to have (found 'em last weekend, just so you know). I probably combed through every shoe store in the area, and not a few online ones, too. Dedicated all this time looking for this pair of shoes to take to Hawaii, and didn't remember until yesterday that what I don't have to take with me to Hawaii is a fucking swimsuit.
*facepalms repeatedly*
Most stores are down to their clearance racks of mix-and-match swimsuits by now. I found a sale at macys.com and ordered a couple of their cheaper ones. Hopefully they'll make it here before we leave; if not, I'll buy one of the damn things when we get there and return the Macy's ones when I get home.

I've made a couple of icon posts over at patrickxpeter, a slash comm for two of the guys from Fall Out Boy (*points to icon*), that I completely forgot to mention here. Probably because I'm pretty sure the only people on my f-list who care about such things in the slightest already knew about them. *grin*
You don't have to care about the pairing or the band, but feel free to pop over there and tell me what you think of the icons themselves. I'm never sure if I'm doing things right when it comes to icons, they're still very much unfamiliar territory to me, so I like to know if the "style" or whatever is acceptable.
(The first post is here, and the second one is here.)

Speaking of Fall Out Boy, I had a weird dream involving them not too long ago.
My best friend and I were wandering around backstage at a concert or something, and we knew we weren't supposed to be there, but we were there anyway (that part of the dream's quite realistic). We came across their instruments and she started playing around with Pete's bass, but she started getting angry because she couldn't get it to play like she wanted it to. I fussed at her and told her to leave it alone before she broke it or something, which was rather hypocritical of me, because then I walked over and started playing with Andy's drums.
We started wandering again, and somehow we got into the middle of Pete playing a prank on somebody - he threw a bucket of water at them, but he missed and hit me, and I got soaked. He immediately started apologizing. We were near the band's dressing room, apparently, and he offered to lend me some of his own clothes until mine dried out. I politely pointed out to Pete that we would have to sew together two of anything he owns for it to be big enough for me to fit into.
He was trying to convince me to dye purple streaks in my hair when I woke up.
