Today my sociology professor asked me to talk to her intro sociology class about discrimination and what it's like to be a disadvantaged minority. I was kind of surprised because she asked me pretty last minute, but I'm always happy to do things like that. People had a lot of questions which I thought was great. Sometimes when I go talk to classes like this the people there may have never met someone with a disability or never been able to ask them questions about what they're life is like, so it's hard for them to think of someone with a disability as an actual person.
We're supposed to get a big snowstorm on Wednesday. I want it to come so my spring break can start early. I'm hoping to get some writing done next week when I don't have to worry about school work. This week I'm worrying about midterms but that'll be over soon. Are there any good books that you guys have read recently? I'd like to read something over break but I'm not sure what. Recommendations would be great.
