I hit my first 10k!

Today! Wooh! :D

I am actually really impressed with it - I wrote almost 2.5k today to make it; a lot of that was out of the two word sprints I took part in via twitter... 40 minutes and I got about 1800 words out of that; then I just went: well, I'm not far off 10,000... And so, I'm a fifth of the way through my NaNo.

I did give up on the very detailed outlining though, in October, remember? ;D. But I've found that my list of 30 things hasn't really worked either - they were each supposed to come to 1,667 words, obviously; but this hasn't worked - one of them, for example, was only about 300! D: Not good - considering I'm on point... ten. On day five. And I'm not that far ahead of schedule. Oops.

I figure if I run out of stuff, there'll just be liberal amounts of back story entered - since Jenna and Kris especially have quite interesting lives, and whilst I'm going to talk about Jenna's a little, Kris' doesn't seem as important, at the moment.

But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now, I'm only 1k off beating my abysmal performance at last year's NaNo, and I plan on making it! :D

Also: milwordy. Heard of it? If not, it's basically a challenge to write one million words in one year - that's 83,333 words a month or about 2,740 words a day. I'm kind of thinking of doing that. I figure even if I don't make it, I've tried. And yeah, for some reason, it's seeming more appealing the more I do. I think NaNo's making me realise how much I love writing :D

... One more thing: I still haven't decided what Jenna's husband's name should be. *facepalm* That's going to get quite important soon, I imagine XD

writing, nanowrimo
