He's still not better. They finally got the second culture back after the vet called and bullied the lab a bit. So now we know that we're dealing with a bacteria commonly found in a cat's mouth and one that is generally only seen in large animals that causes hoof rot. WTF?
I have no clue how he ended up with this.
The antibiotic he's on should be clearing it up. It is allowing scabs to form but it's not really clearing up. *sigh* He'll probably be getting another antibiotic as soon as the lab let's the vet know what the culture is sensative to. They sent the results/list from the first culture but not the second. Dumbasses.
The good news is that at least it's not spreading anymore.
Thank gods my Plunderbear is stubborn as hell, but all this is really taking a toll on him.
I just want the vet to find the right mix of meds so he gets better, I'll take that as my birthday wish now please and thank you.
