"According to the Associated Press, 40% of engagements take place between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day, meaning we're about to enter the four-month barrage of Facebook relationship status updates every 20-something knows all too well." Given that I've heard about 3 friends' proposals in a short span on 2 weeks, that must be pretty true hahahaha. It still baffles me - how two people who may have only known each other for a few years can decide to want to spend forever together. Don't worry, I'm not wondering if I have the gift of celibacy haha. I just happen to spend time (too much?) thinking about such stuff. It's also the season of attending weddings and, in the process, figuring out what you want/don't want for yours. That leaves me to wonder how married people feel when they attend weddings - do they think fondly of theirs and of the commitment they made? Do they look at the young ones and secretly laugh at how this fairy-tale moment will soon be shaken by fights (but yet pray the couple will last)? Hopefully I'll be relieved of all these wondering in the next few years ;) Two is a good number, just saying.
