i had a really good job interview yesterday for an administrative assistant job at the google kinderplex. i would get my own office and laptop. the pay is 15-18/hr with health, dental, and vision benefits. google treats their employees very nicely. the only problem is that the job is forty miles away in mountain view. i would be starting at eight in the morning, which means i'd have to leave by at least 7 in the morning, which means i could probably never spend any nights with adam during the week or sleep a lot for that matter. it would be an amazing job to get though. i would spend my time e-mailing, making newsletters, taking photos, and doing the costco orders. so much better than doing once in a while tutoring jobs. i did get more hours at merit though, but that's because katie is out of town and i'm subbing for her.
adam's company had a holiday party last night. it was fun. i got to play Elebits on the Wii, which was more fun than I thought it was going to be. Then I beat Character's ass at MarioKart twice, but it was because his controller was wonky. Then Adam beat my ass at MarioKart so I stopped. Then Junerose and I got into a talk about travelling and lost track of Adam. We found him back at his desk working, so we decided to bug him until he would leave the desk and we could get some real food. He was trying to figure out something with the hardware (things weren't compiling) and he hit a switch while the machine was on, which is a big no-no. He ended up breaking a three thousand dollar piece of equipment. he tried to blame it on junerose and i for distracting him, but we would have none of it. he was soo upset and i'm terrible at trying to cheer people up, but between junerose telling him that he looks ugly when he tries to look like a crochety old man and me holding him and being sweet we got him to feel a little better. we went to the diner and then took him home where I watched Perfect Blue (an Anime) to cheer him up. I can't say I liked it, but it made him feel better. Tonight we're starting Hannukah and going to a concert at the bowling alley.
