Dear lJ.
This is going to be a short one, it's way easier to bang on when you're frothing at the mouth about something, no, make that I find it easier to bang on when I'm frothing at the mouth. When I'm happy, my words just won't come.
Today has been wonderful, epic, amazing and blessed in every way, and I thank God most humbly for it. We got up very early and had drinks, breakfast, did morning things and got ready. When Lixi came, much earlier than usual, we made her sit right down on the sofa and we did Christmas presents. First hers, then lacey's, which we filmed for Youtube and Facebook, which was a ton of fun, then ours, which I didn't know if we'd have time for, but we did.
i got really thoroughly spoilt this year, I don't remember a year for ages when I've had so many wonderful gifts. My main present was a beautiful new reborn baby fairy girl. I'll tell you more about her in time. I also had a beautiful gold and cubic Zirconia solitaire ten carat ring from mr B, plus two different kinds of perfume, some gorgeous pearl and gold earrings and a huge box of my favourite Hotel Chocolat chocolates. I had my favourite Heavenly ginger Lily toiletries from one dear friend, some delicious Jasmine perfume from another, a whole heap of baby clothes and sweets from a third, a precious piece of jewellery from an equally precious couple of friends, so very dear of them, and more chocolates and more crystal love bears for my growing collection from Lixi and Mumma. I don't think I've missed anything out. I honestly don't recall when I've had more gifts in years.
Mumma couldn't come in because of lockdown rules, so I went out to her and handed over our Christmas present, the reborn baby boy she's always wanted, and I was thrilled to see her open him. Seeing people open things at Christmas I find as much fun as opening my own things. I'd already had a wonderful time seeing lixi open her gifts and how much she liked them.
We had work to do once everyone was gone, as the radio called, so we were kept busy, but we had a little time before we started to get lacey's video ready, and we got that ready to go in the late afternoon early evening.
Now we are off air and have just had an absolutely scrumptious Christmas dinner of turkey and all the trimmings, prepared for us by Lixi and Mumma, they brought everything over, Lixi crept in and left it for us in our kitchen so we could just heat up the plates when we were ready. Now I'm feeling full and sleepy, and i'm ready for a peaceful evening and an early night.
So there, you didn't get that short of a scribble after all! I'm glad I could write about a really happy Christmas. It's only taken about twelve years! I kind of feel strange feeling so happy when lots of people I know are having to spend Christmas alone, I wish I had a magic wand and could wave it to make a lovely Christmas for everyone who isn't having as nice a one as me. But I am truly counting my blessings tonight. Life is short, and with this darn virus also precarious. I've had my share of absolutely lousy Christmases, more than my share actually, and I want to enjoy every precious moment of happiness I'm given, so again, I humbly thank God for this awesome, happy day, and I hope to see a few more like it in my life.
Take care until next time.
