Passports, Pitter patter and Poop!

Hey everyone! Well, look at me, four days, and I haven't been around, but it's the same old combo, Migraine and mardiness! I didn't want to report when I was feeling so grouchy, but now I'm better I'll tell you what's been happening. Much the same as usual really, just eating, sleeping, lots of nice music, reading, nerdling about generally, and worrying about things that we can't do anything about yet.

Today has been nice though. I awoke this morning with three words fizzing in my brain: Bite. The. Bullet. I hadn't said anything about my engagement to my Father's side of the family, as they all never quite realized I'm not still three, and I wasn't sure how they'd react, especially my Gran. Well, this morning I just knew the time was right for me to tell. My auntie's got the computer, so I Emailed her before leaving for church. We had a lovely service, and the kids really enjoyed their Easter egg hunt afterwards, in spite of the pouring rain which came down halfway through, threatening to ruin it for them.

The rain was really pattering down hard by the time we got home. Bo was on the porch, mewing loudly. when we opened the door he snaked in past us, and I shut it behind us. At which point, the phone rang with one of Charles's nice, but rather long-winded friends, and I had to make a dash for the bathroom. Bo kept right on Mewing. I heard the mew grow up the scale insistent, but couldn't do anything about it, and Charles was talking on the phone. Only bo was telling us it really wasn't a good idea to shut the door, and could we plee'ee'ee'ee'ee'eease open it again, or we'd be sorry. Well, we didn't listen, and so poor charles had to clean up the resulting mess, I helped as much as I could, but he has a stronger stomach than I do!

Well, once we had bo squared away, I went to see if the family was still speaking to me, and was pleasantly surprised. They're really pleased! I got Auntie Jo on Skype, and managed to have a nice talk with her, and also with Gran, as she's staying there over the Easter holidays. They're all looking forward to meeting Charles when we fly back.

Talking of which, that is one hundred per cent definite now, because his passport has at last turned up. We were beginning to get antsy about it. Can't think of anything worse than having the ticket and no passport. yikes! But it's all settled and fixed now! the flight back is going to be a swine, two huge long overlays, but it'll be a little more bearable, with him beside me.

Anyway, I digress. When I'd finished talking to my family, we did some music, and that's where we've been since. We did one new song this weekend, which fleurette67 has by now, and I'll send out to anyone else who wants it, send me a message to my lj in-box, but we have an idea for the last number I think we'll do before we leave. Gosh, we're going to miss the keyboard like sixteen different kinds of hell, but it's too risky to bring it with us.

Ok, well, I guess I'm about done for now, I must now go and catch up on the most enormous friends' page known to man. Hope you all had a great day. Huge huggies to all my friends wherever you are in the world. Big smile. See y'all.
