And what am I determined about? To actually update this journal. With journaly things.
So um. I really haven't been doing that much lately - just enjoying the beautiful sunshine and all the flowers that are out. Star has to be walked every day - obviously - and we're lucky that we live in a place that is nice to walk her. You kinda leave the house and our estate, walk over to the slightly posher one, which has nice green backways and then onto the Council grounds. Aside from the fact Star likes to jump into a manky stagnant pond, it's a good place to walk her.
Just recently, I followed a little path along to a field - I'm not entirely sure I'm allowed on the field? A fence seems to have been broken down, but IDC. The field is lying fallow this year, I think, and it is covered in beautiful wild flowers. It's pretty much your quintissential meadow, only with the main North-South East Coast trainline next to it. I should take a few pictures, but alas, Star can't get her foot wet (and we need to cross a stream to get to it), so it'll have to wait a wee while.
In other news, I've been kinda feeling artistically unfulfilled, since I haven't really been drawing anything at all lately. So! At least for this week, I'm going to do my best to draw a few things...
This was meant to be a bit of a self-portrait/OOTD? It's not great or anything, and the hands are weeeeird, but I'm quite pleased, since I haven't tried to draw a person in a while.
And, what I had for breakfast!
Uh, ignore the horrendous Elmlea tub? XD;; Something went wrong there!! But I like how the strawberries came out - I was trying to draw ones similar to the lumpy bumpy lot I picked this morning, so, that kinda worked.
Also, I love this photo... it makes me want a picnic so much!
