  *~*~*~*~*~*

Hyukjae had always seen the world in black and white. Nothing had ever had any special meaning, no special feelings attached and no emotions evoked. Nothing. It was a lonely drab world of different hues of gray. And he was okay with that. He was used to this plain colorless world he had grown up in. But that changed.
He met Donghae and was immediately flung into a rainbow. Donghae was everything that Hyukjae had never seen or felt. He was drawn to him like a moth to a flame, not able to resist the bright speck of color that had been dropped onto the previously white canvas that was his life. Everything that Donghae did created a new sensation in Hyukjae.
When Donghae laughed, he noticed that it was like yellow. It was bright, almost blinding in its intensity. It cast a warm feeling all over Hyukjae, heating him from the core and spreading out to his fingertips and toes. It created an involuntary reaction to make him smile as well. He always felt happy whenever he looked at the silly grin spreading on his face when he teased Hyukjae, or the small shy smile he would give him when Hyukjae told him he loved him. Each smile was like sunshine, uplifting his mood to new highs he had never reached before. Hyukjae made it a habit to always keep the smile on Donghae’s face.
Donghae’s voice was like blue. It was very soft and calming, never failing to ease Hyukjae to sleep when Donghae would sing to him at night. Donghae was able to relax Hyukjae and st him at ease more than anything else could.  But he could also stir him up. The tear laced voice of Donghae was something he could never forget. Hearing the pain in his voice felt as if his heart had frozen up. He could feel the misery within himself. The despair clawing at him, driving him to do anything to bring back the happiness to his voice. But it was still better than the absence of his voice. That was unbearable. Everything was devoid of feeling. He could feel the loneliness creeping up in the recess of his mind, slowly turning everything around him dark and empty. And then Donghae would call. Like a light switch everything would shine again, leaving Hyukjae momentarily stunned at the change in his eyes.
Red is what Donghae’s touch was like. Hot, alive, stimulating. It was almost a contradiction how one touch could make him shiver and raise goosebumps, but still manage to burn his skin. Leaving trails of white fire in their path, Donghae’s hands rendered Hyukjae incoherent. Unable to see, hear or feel anything that wasn’t Donghae. He flowed into his brain like a haze, overwhelming everything, sparking a passion in him that Hyukjae had never felt before. Even the smallest brush of his fingertips could make Hyukjae breathless.
Donghae’s personality was like orange. His childish nature was exciting and very often the cause of Hyukjae losing his inhibitions and joining in with his playful antics. It was loud and demanding of attention, even though he couldn’t ignore him if he wanted to. He would walk into the room and everything would be lighter. Like a gust of wind, Donghae blew all restrictions out the window, and made you believe anything was possible.
Donghae’s love… was white, strangely enough. You would expect it to be a compound extreme color, one that holds many different meanings and interpretations. But it’s not. It’s simple. It’s pure. His love was love. He loved you whole-heartedly, like he had never loved anything before. Each feeling was new and innocent. Something he had never experienced before. He gives his all in love, putting his heart on his sleeve waiting for the person who would take it. He would put everything into it, not expecting anything back in return. But how could you not love him back? Hyukjae was still baffled over how he has to constantly reassure Donghae, when it should be the other way around. Donghae is the one who is easy to love, easy to care for, not Hyukjae. But Donghae makes him feel like he has worth, like he can be loved. He makes it seem so easy and effortless, as automatic as breathing. Hyukjae doesn’t know when Donghae will be convinced that the only one he will love, can love is him. But Hyukjae would be happy to spend the rest of eternity convincing him.

A/N: This is something fluffy to counter that angst that I turned out the other day. Enjoy ^^.
