I will add more soon, I have just been a little distracted recently.
Lots of snow = itching to ride.
Also my Japanese Mum went in for her second operation last tuesday. The doctors seem to think that they got the last of the cancer and they also seem pretty confident that it hasn't spread at all. So that is a huge relief, but I won't uncross my fingers until I know for sure that she will be ok. All of this also means that Meg was here until wednesday night visiting, so I have been spending a lot of time with her (when we aren't at the hospital). It is really nice spending all this time with her, and I can see how deeply she cares for her mum.
We spoke -- jokingly -- about what she would have to do if she ever came to NZ to visit. I told her she would have to study a lot of English. She asked if she got to the same level as my Japanese, whether it would be ok, and I said yeah, but she would find it hard to work if she decided that she wanted to stay.
