Yay
Just came back from my housemate's birthday dinner. Its nice how much we all like each other and care about each other. Makes me excited for my birthday to arrive next May, finally, a birthday at college when everyone is actually around (we graduate the next day)!
I received some great news about my portfolio of work I submitted to my committee of faculty, they were really impressed (one of them went so far as to label it one of the most exciting Div IIs she's read!) and excited for our final meeting where they'll give me the go ahead to officially file my thesis. I also got one of these faculty members to serve on my thesis committee, which is a lot of stress gone right there.
Things are going well, I'm about to go to Amherst College to read some Dave Hickey, I think I got some more workstudy hours secured away, my parents (after two years of lobbying) see the logic in helping me pay for food and are gonna start doing that soon, which is super awesome of them. I have not made either of the two women in my life angry in 48 hours, I got a sort of haircut, I jerked off and it was good earlier.
Things are good right now. Time to eat some homemade birthday cake downstairs.
PS, made a funny earlier: you know when you get the fortune cookie and you're supposed to add "in bed" at the end? Well Peter's fortune was "You will sleep peacefully tonight" and I quickly tacked on the "in bed" portion. You had to be there I guess.
