Luke entered his room once more. He felt a bit detached--he wasn't angry, or saddened about Danni's reaction anymore. He was slightly disappointed, but Luke had come to a realization. Not everyone had forgotten about what he had done. He wasn't going to worry about it anymore. He knew that if he was waiting for the whole city to forgive, he'd be waiting a very long time.
Luke wasn't into the hermit practice...so, he would just go on with life.
The blue haired boy put his old clothes in a bag that he had designated as his makeshift hamper. It was a glorified duffle bag, but it would have to for now. With his clothes out of the way, Luke sighed. What to do?
Scanning his room, he spied Lord of the Flies and his expression softened a bit. He really wanted to finish, it made him feel depressed but he also felt like he needed to learn something from the book.
Going over to his bed, he picked up the book and opened it to where he had folded it. Luke wasn't but a quarter of the way through, it was strange reading again. He was one of the few, after the virus had destroyed the school system, who still read, but his time at the Techno's had somehow hindered his reading speed.
Luke's face suddenly looked thoughtful, the thought about his state of mind reminded him about the hospital in the mall. He was naturally interested in the hospital, since he had taken first aid classes and knew some techniques--he did help Salene when she was in labor (even thought that wasn't a sucessful endeavor). Maybe he could help out, he wondered if the hospital needed help.
Well...there's only one way to find out! Luke thought, clinching the decision.
Book in hand, Luke was heading back out of his room, towards the hospital.
