Good Times are Here to Stay

So, my life is going right. This week was relatively quick, what with the GEE on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Last night was the only really bad day and that was preventable, but I am a slacker extrordinaire. I think it helps to have Alan as a roommate because he goes to bed comparitvely early, so I actually start working on stuff earlier since I think it's much later than it is based on the fact that the lights are out and he's asleep. I'm missing a lot of class lately, I don't really know how that will turn out in the end, but right now, I'm pretty psyched about it.

I say that because next week I have a grand total of one and a half days of classes. Monday and then half of Wednesday. It's really great how this is working out. The school is hosting a math competition on Tuesday and all the math teachers are helping with that, so math classes are cancelled. It just so happens that Calculus is the only class I have on Tuesday, and I don't have work service until 2, so I plan to sleep like a rock until 1:30 at least. Then Wednesday we are leaving for Mu Alpha Theta State Convention at noon, so my 11 o'clock will be my last class. That lasts until Friday.

MAO Convention is going to be kind of a bummer though, because I'm pretty sure I'm competing in  Alpha in PreCal. The reason this is not exciting? I forgot PreCal. I can find the derivative of stuff to no end, but I have forgotten sums of infinite series and fun stuff like that. Oh well, I'm going to get owned by the kids from my old school, which is kind of embarassing, but I plan to get them back next year when I'm in Mu B where I will belong. MAO's hardly about the math anyway. State convention is really just a lot of fun. I'm actually looking forward to seeing a few guys from the old school and elsewhere. I'm also hoping that my parents will be nice enough to let me go home that weekend. It'd be really cool!

And I do have to thank my parents regardless. They actually went out and bought me a 250gig external and a 1gig SD card with the deals I found in the Sunday ads. Also, they didn't get too mad when I almost cost them $50 because I'm so forgetful.

I haven't heard anything about distinction, but I hear the forms are due before Spring Break. Also, class scheduling for next year is next week. I plan to free up a bit of space by taking Liz Dunn's suggestion and taking American Government and Economics as correspondence courses. It may just be me, but the idea of a fifty note card Findley paper does not excite me. My counselors also want to talk to me about college before Spring Break. The meeting ought to be short.

And Spring Break itself seems as though it'll be pretty good.

Well, state quiz bowl tournament in 6 hours. Fun.

spring break, mao, quiz bowl
