I had a relatively good day.

Walked into work to the strains of a familiar song.  Only, it wasn't quite right.  The singer was a girl.  Turns out, it's Joan Osborne singing a cover of a Jump Little Children song, Cathedrals (this is a youtube link to some random person's photos of a trip to NYC set to this song).  And it's in our in-store play!

Apparently, I got lucky.  When my water pump failed in its spectacular manner, it also caused various belts to be sundered.  Except the timing belt.  That's where I got lucky.  It did slip 3 notches, according to Manning.  Another 2 notches and I would be looking at (a) a new engine or (b) scrapping the car because it wouldn't be worth it to ( Read more... )
